Required Skills/Experience: Min 2 Years Inpatient Rehab Experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Neuro/stroke unit experience preferred. Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Community hospital experience is preferred.
Required Credentials: RNs only: If CA state licensure is 3 months or less from expiration, proof that the renewal process has been initiated is required to apply.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. 24-hour nursing rehabilitation unit with a minimum of 3 hours of intense therapy 5 days a week. Therapy services include ST, PT, and OT. Interdisciplinary approach with a case manager and medical director on the unit. Daily huddles to review patient individualized plans of care and weekly team conferences for each patient. Cares for stroke, brain injury, spinal cord, neuro, trauma, amputation, cardiac, LVAD, organ transplant, respiratory, and deconditioning patients following long ICU courses, as well as other diagnoses requiring intense acute inpatient rehabilitation to improve self-care and mobility for return home.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.
Floating Requirements: Ability to float to other UCSF facilities.
