Required Skills/Experience:
Majority of experience must be cardiac (heavy cardiac unit).
Drip experience is required.

Special Requests:
Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must take full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location as well. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
No self-scheduling; the unit tries to accommodate block scheduling, but it is not always guaranteed.
If previously employed by Marshfield, the employment end date must be at least 6 months before submission.

Unit Details:
Up to 75% of patients may be cardiac, including pre/post-cath, pre-CABG, chest pain, NSTEMIs, and other procedural cardiac cases. The unit does not receive post-CABG patients.
Other diagnoses include CHF, COPD, pneumonia, diabetes, dialysis, altered mental status, nephrology, hematology, wounds, and overflow strokes.
RNs titrate drips. Common titratable or set-rate drips include insulin, heparin, nitro, diltiazem, and Lasix.
Telemetry technicians are stationed elsewhere but provide 24/7 monitoring. The unit has an on-unit monitor for nurses to check that a good rhythm is being captured.
Respiratory support includes continuous CPAP/BiPAP, high flow, Vapotherm, nebulizers, and chest PT; no ventilators.

Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
Every other holiday.
No call.

Floating Requirements:
Float destinations are generally other Med/Surg floors, with staff rotated as fairly as possible.
Staff may need to float outside the Med/Surg cluster, especially for a patient observer 1:1 need.
Staff with other specialty experience may float to that specialty.
