Special Requests: An interview may not be available prior to offer. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Resume must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility for each employment history entry. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on the resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Block scheduling is not approved unless it is weekends only. Travel pairs requesting the same schedule or planning to share a car are not accepted. RTO must be requested upfront (7 or fewer days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved after submission.
Unit Details: Adult ICU patient population includes trauma, cardiac, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress. RNs titrate drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation. Respiratory equipment ranges from nasal cannula to ventilators. RNs are required to read, interpret, and document telemetry strips; GE monitors with tele tech oversight.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Minimum of 2 holidays that fall within the contract time frame. If placed on call and called back in, must arrive within 30 minutes.
Floating Requirements: Typically floats to PCU and occasionally MedSurg, usually taking the same ratio assigned on those units (1:4 or 1:5).
