Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit

Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November; peak August-September). If unavailable for emergency response duties, please do not confirm new assignments or extensions during this period.

If your start date is within 90 days, you must complete all labs within 72 hours of signing an offer with MUSC.

Preferred Skills/Experience: 3 years of experience highly preferred. Bladder scan preferred. Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests: RTO is due at time of submission. Approval is based on unit needs. Any candidate that has 7+ days and/or includes holiday RTO will have to be submitted to the facility for approval and can delay the process.

Unit Details: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. Round with surgeon. General surgery patients make up about 80% of the unit, including thyroidectomy, mastectomy, hiatal hernia, cholecystectomy, colon resection, nephrectomy, hysterectomy, bladder sling, penile implants, Cysto/TURBT, MVA-blunt trauma, debridement/skin graft, and GI bleed.

Shift & Scheduling: Candidates who are able to work holidays are a priority. Manager will accept 3x12s or 4x12s, 7a-730p (4x12 preferred). Every other weekend. Holiday rotation. Call required: call rotation.

Floating Requirements: Will float within scope to meet facility needs.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
