Required Skills/Experience: Strong CVOR, general OR, and ENT skills required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Pediatric experience preferred.
Unit Details: Precepting may be required during this assignment. Cases/services include ENT, ortho, urology, general surgery, craniofacial/plastics, neuro, eye, GI, oncology, dental, and trauma. Highest surgical volume is currently from 5p-7p.
Shift & Scheduling: Variable 10-hour day shifts between 0650-1720. Orientation is 2 weeks, Mon-Fri 0650-1520. Rotate every other weekend as needed. Holiday coverage as needed; can include in-house coverage, on-call (beeper) coverage, or working any shift as needed. On-call is a minimum of 1 weekday per week and every 3rd to 4th weekend (Friday end of shift-Monday 0700); call response time is 30 minutes. In-house on-call coverage may be required when full-time staff call out or are on PTO; traveler must be prepared to stay overnight at the hospital if requested. Hours may be reduced during orientation week or holidays when the unit is closed.
Floating Requirements: Primary service and call will be CVOR, with support for other specialties as needed.
