Additional Details:

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: RNs must be able to read telemetry strips in conjunction with telemetry monitor techs that continuously monitor strips.

Special Requests: Can only apply to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system. Driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility. Previous permanent candidates must be gone for 2 years. Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years. Travel teams must be submitted together. Cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.

Unit Details: Ratios: 1:3 for Stepdown; 1:4-6 for Floor. Typical MedSurg population including chest pain, COPD, AMS, pneumonia, UTI, abdominal pain, overflow for most services, and hospice patients who may flip to GIP hospice on 7 West. Stepdown has drips; floor patients may have PCAs, heparin, and similar infusions. Free charge nurse per unit; house supervisor always available. Typically 4 nurse aids when fully staffed.

Shift & Scheduling: 2 weekends per schedule. Work into the permanent staff holiday schedule.

Floating Requirements: Can be pulled to any floor or stepdown unit.
