Travel Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Required Skills/Experience:

• Must be able to scrub and circulate.
• Trauma experience at a level 1-2 trauma center.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Critical care experience preferred.

Unit Details:

• Cares for outpatient, inpatient, and trauma surgical cases.
• Common cases include gunshot wounds, stabbings, kidney and heart transplants, donor cases, general surgery, GYN, urology, robotics, vascular, ortho, neuro, and open-heart/CABG cases.
• Hybrid room cases include TAVR, AAA, endarterectomies, angiograms, and fistula revisions.
• Adults primarily, with about 20% pediatric cases including open hearts, appendectomies, and cholecystectomies.
• No liver or lung transplants.
• Participates in Gifts of Hope cases.
• Uses Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: 1 full weekend (Friday/Saturday) every 4th week.
• 6-week schedule posted 2-4 weeks in advance.
• Schedule is rotation-based with no self-scheduling.
• Holiday requirement: 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday.
• On-call: 3 call shifts in a 6-week period with a 30-minute response time.
