Additional Details:
Required Credentials: Graduate from an accredited college, university or nursing program with a degree/diploma in nursing. A valid driver's license. Cannot have any disciplinary action on state license.
Special Requests: Must be able to start within 2 weeks of the expected start date.
Unit Details: Correctional ambulatory clinic role caring for inmates/residents. Responsibilities include executing Licensed Independent Provider orders, dispensing and administering medications, assisting with examinations and treatments, attending sick call with the physician, and assessing new or ill/injured inmates/residents. Performs emergency procedures as needed and refers inmates/residents to the emergency room or other appropriate healthcare facility as required by their condition. Supervises nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff. Correctional setting with security-focused practice, including contraband awareness.
Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Fri. Expected to have open availability to work per the CoreCivic scheduling policy.
