Special Requests:

  • An interview may not be available prior to offer.
  • At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to.
  • Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
  • Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of the contract.
  • RTO must be submitted upfront. Additional RTO will not be approved after submission.

Required Credentials:

  • Each employment history entry on the resume must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility.
  • RNs must pass a Friday orientation exam on skills learned. This is an open-book exam, and a score of 90% is required to pass.
  • Clinicians in this unit are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Must have 1 year of experience with this patient population.
  • Open heart and complex thoracic and vascular patients recover on the unit.
  • Patients may be stabilized and supported by Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO.
  • Common and advanced cardiac surgeries, lytic cases, carotids and TCARs, fem-pop, and EVARs/endo AAAs.
  • The unit supports complex cases from the cath lab, structural heart program, EP lab, ER, and clinic.
  • RNs are required to titrate drips. Common titratable and/or set-rate drips include vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics.
  • No monitor techs; RNs must read and interpret their own telemetry strips.
  • Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Manager will make the schedule.
  • Every other weekend.
  • Holidays every other or as needed based on unit needs.

Floating Requirements:

  • Will float to all inpatient units, excluding Maternity/NICU.

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
