Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Clinic

Required Skills/Experience: Previous cardiac stress testing experience required, including multiple modalities: nuclear medicine stress testing, dobutamine stress testing, cardiac MRI stress testing, CCTA, stress echo, and exercise/treadmill stress testing. Strong cardiac rhythm recognition and ECG interpretation skills required. Experience administering and monitoring medications used during cardiac testing required.

Required Credentials: Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization, 2 attempts allowed. In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on driver's license. Driver's license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/TDAP declinations.

Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.

Unit Details: Non-invasive cardiology team focused on diagnostic cardiac procedures and stress testing. Responsibilities include pre-procedure patient assessment, monitoring vital signs and cardiac rhythms throughout testing, medication administration, emergency response, and patient education. Assists with Nuclear Medicine, Dobutamine, MRI, CCTA, and other non-invasive cardiac testing. Works closely with cardiologists, imaging staff, Nuclear Medicine, and the cardiovascular team. Fast-paced diagnostic environment.

Shift & Scheduling: 4 10s (6-4:30, rotating day off) or 5 8s (7-3:30); schedule may be negotiable. Rotating weekend coverage required. No on-call requirements. No holidays.
