References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to.

Required Skills/Experience: 1 year of experience with this patient population.

Required Credentials: Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam required during onboarding. Pass/fail open-book skills exam on Friday during orientation; must score 90% to pass.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. RTO must be requested upfront (7 or fewer days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved after submission.

Unit Details: Nurse-patient ratios: 1:4; 1:3 for post-surgical patients in the first 24 hours. Intermediate care and downgraded CVICU patients. Unit heavily supports thoracic, electrophysiology, cath lab, and structural heart patients, with cardiac and vascular diagnoses including CVAs, CHF, and A-fib with RVR. RNs titrate drips including amiodarone, nitroglycerin, nicardipine, epinephrine, diltiazem, and other blood pressure management medications. Remote telemetry techs; hardwired telemetry and telemetry box capabilities. RNs must read and interpret strips.

Shift & Scheduling: Manager creates the schedule; no self-scheduling. Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: Will float to all same-level and lower-acuity units.
