Travel Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Required Skills/Experience:

• Minimum 2 years current Emergency Room experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Charge experience highly preferred.

Unit Details:

• Assignment is 60% Emergency Department and 40% critical-access charge, serving as backup to Med/Surg and the Emergency Department.
• Patients are stabilized, treated, and discharged when possible; emergent patients may be stabilized and transferred to other facilities when needed services are outside the hospital's scope.
• TeleEmergency, Telepsych, and Teleneonatal services are available in the Emergency Department via DHMC.
• DHART and LifeFlight of Maine provide helicopter trauma service to the campus for rapid transfer of critically ill or injured patients to appropriate centers of care.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Shift schedule may be 3x12hr or 4x12hr.
• Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
• Every other weekend.
• No call.

Floating Requirements:

• Floats to Med/Surg and Stepdown.
• Must be willing to take Stepdown patients and help with Med/Surg patients.
