Required Skills/Experience: New grads okay as long as they have Level II experience and not just Level I observation experience. Long term care or rehab experience required.
Unit Details: Long term care setting. Evaluates and rehabilitates patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. May supervise and support CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists. Productivity expectation for evaluating therapists is 88-90%. SLP treatment times are typically 30 min, with potentially 10-14 patients on the schedule per day depending on the number of evaluations. Group therapy is allowed. Each therapist typically has a dedicated device for documentation.
Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Fri. Times are flexible as long as they are consistent and communicated with the DOR. Start time is before 6AM and no later than 10AM. No weekends unless a holiday falls within Mon-Fri, then hours can be made up on the weekend. No call.
