Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Cardiology or IMC experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • 2 years IMC or Cardiology experience preferred.

Required Credentials:

  • Area-specific competency exam required.
  • Cardiology Traveler RN competency assessment required.

Preferred Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Unit Details:

  • Patient ratios: Day shift and night shift IMC patients 1RN – 3 pts with active titrating drips; Day shift 1RN-4 pts IMC patients; Day shift Med/Surg patients 1RN – 5-6 pts. Night shift 1RN-4-5 IMC patients; Night shift Med/Surg patients 1RN – 5-6 pts.
  • Standard cardiology monitoring equipment (Telemetry and T-1's), IV pumps, and crash carts on North and South.
  • Adult to geriatric patients.
  • Common diagnosis/treatment: STEMI, NonSTEMI, Stroke, Post Cath, ETOH.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week (3 -12's or 4-12's) depending on agreed contract.
  • No call.

Floating Requirements:

  • Floating to any unit of need is expected. Normal floating will be to PCU, Medical, Surgical, and Nephrology.
