Travel Nurse (RN) - Step Down Unit

Required Skills/Experience

• Telemetry competency is needed.

Special Requests

• Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
• Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
• Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
• Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.

Unit Details

• Patients are primarily adults; pediatric patients are rare and, when present, are age 15 and older.
• Common diagnoses include CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, COVID, subdural hematoma and weakness.
• Common drips and medications include PCA pumps for pain management, Cardizem and insulin.
• Alaris IV pumps are used.
• Mechanical lifts are available in every other room.
• Staffing is a unit challenge.

Shift & Scheduling

• Shift times: 0630-1830, 1830-0630.
• Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements

• Floating is ideally to medical-surgical areas and will depend on highest need.
