Travel Nurse (RN) - Step Down Unit

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills/Experience:
If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations.
At least 1 year of tele experience is required; no neuro experience is required, but you need to know it is a heavy neuro unit and be willing to learn.
Comfortable with the NIH scale and proficient at caring for post-surgical neurology patients and various neurological diagnoses.

Required Credentials:
Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

Special Requests:
RTO must be listed at time of submission.
All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details:
Neuroscience, neurology, neurosurgical, and telemetry patient population.

Shift & Scheduling:
No call.
Every other weekend is required.
Thanksgiving and New Year's are covered, so those holidays could be off; Christmas typically needs more support.
Flexible contract hours: 48 per week are approved.

Floating Requirements:
Floating is required to meet unit needs.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
