Required Skills/Experience:
RNs who can scrub and circulate cardiac surgeries are required.
Special Requests:
Assignments shorter than 26 weeks will not be considered.
No excessive time off can be approved; time off should be limited.
Unit Details:
Patient population includes complex CABG, valve, and repeat cardiac procedures; heart failure; ECMO; VAD; heart and lung transplant; PTE; cardiac trauma; and adult congenital cases.
Adult patients only; there are no pediatric cases. The Children's Hospital OR is separate.
Shift & Scheduling:
Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday, with the days varying depending on unit needs.
All travelers in cardiac surgery must be willing to take call (3 layers of call 24-7); call requirements vary every 6 weeks.
You would be expected to work 2 of 3 holidays.
Floating Requirements:
May float between ORs but not to other locations.
