Travel Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology

Required Skills/Experience:
Provides direct patient care while patients are in the Imaging Department, including monitoring patients' conditions.
Observes patients' vital signs and records them when applicable.
Maintains intravenous lines for patients receiving intravenous fluids.
Administers first aid and assists with patient comfort when applicable.
Administers medications under the direction of a physician.
Assists in various procedures in the Imaging Department.
Maintains IV skills.
Maintains emergency equipment and supplies used in emergency patient care.
Must be knowledgeable about emergency equipment available in the Imaging Department and its placement.
Maintains emergency equipment in proper working order.
Must be familiar with and maintain the proper drug inventory in the crash cart and emergency drug reaction kits.
Acts as a liaison between the Imaging Department and the patient care division.
Documents patient records properly while patients are in the Imaging Department.
Notifies the appropriate person of adverse changes in a patient's condition or any patient-care problems encountered in the Imaging Department.
Coordinates with the patient care division regarding changes in Imaging policies and procedures that affect patient care, including patient preparation for specific imaging exams.

Preferred Credentials:
Certification with ARNA preferred.

Unit Details:
The unit handles invasive and non-invasive procedures in the IR suite, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and diagnostic areas.
Uses Nihon Kohden patient monitors.

Shift & Scheduling:
Weekend hours are as needed.
On-call is required on rotation.

Floating Requirements:
Must float as needed.
