An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.
Required Skills/Experience:
2 years of Med/Surg experience required.
Med/Surg skill set required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
1 year of inpatient Palliative Care experience preferred.
Palliative Care/Hospice experience would be helpful.
Unit Details:
Travelers care for Med/Surg patients in the Palliative Care unit.
Primary cases include palliative, comfort/hospice, and Med/Surg.
Shift & Scheduling:
Variable day/night shifts: 7a-730p or 7p-730a.
Every other weekend and holiday rotation.
The contract is eligible for 36 hours of low-census unbillable hours; low census may occur in hour increments as needed, typically in 4-hour increments, and the traveler may be asked to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift. This is not considered to be on call.
The unit is closed during holidays.
Floating Requirements:
Floats to any inpatient unit.
