Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Required Skills/Experience:

• First-time travelers not accepted.
• Strong CVOR background is needed across all specialties — ability to work independently with minimal guidance in the following cases: CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, thoracic cases are robotic (lobectomy, hernia repair), generator exchanges, lead extractions, heart transplants, Fem-Pop Bypass.
• Cardiac & thoracic surgery experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Robotic Surgery

Unit Details:

• On average 10 cases/day.
• Surgical team will always have 2 RNs per case — Circulator and Med RN — travelers will only circulate.
• Uses Alaris, Pyxis, Da Vinci XI.

Shift & Scheduling:

• M-F
• Weekend rotation is on-call only.
• Rotating call assignments based on current staffing, generally about 2-3 overnight call shifts per month.
• Once per month, weekend 24h call Sat/Sun 0700-0700.
• End of shift call up to once/week.
• 30 min response time.
• No sleep room available.
• Holidays are on-call only, as needed.
• Cannot work more than 60 hours in a week or 5 consecutive 12 hour shifts.

Special Requests:

• Up to 7 days of time off; request approval for any additional time.
