Required Skills/Experience: High-volume, high-acuity ER experience required.
Special Requests: Holiday RTO will be considered, however not guaranteed. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Unit Details: High-volume ED with about 155 patients per day, including trauma, stroke, pediatric, and psychiatric patients. Charge nurse does not take a patient assignment. EMTs on each shift, including a midshift EMT, perform tech duties. Uses GE telemetry. Some travelers may take trauma patients depending on experience.
Shift & Scheduling: 12-hour mids with varied start times. Every other weekend. Holidays work into permanent staff rotation. Call 1 day per month; if it is your call team's turn, it could be 2 days per month. When the call schedule comes out, you have 3 days to sign up before call is assigned. Schedule is made at least 2 weeks in advance; self-scheduling by seniority.
