Performs MRI examinations per department protocol; coordinates with the radiologist to select proper scanning techniques and protocols.
Administers intravenous contrast as ordered by the physician and under radiologist or physician supervision.
Uses MRI equipment, related information systems, and electronic imaging; views, transfers, archives, and manipulates images.
Troubleshoots the MRI scanner and understands shutdown/startup procedures, magnet/cryogen/gradient amplifier functions, quench procedure, and MRI safety including the four zone concept.
