Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit

Required Skills/Experience:
Required skills include BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow, oxygen titration, moderate sedation with ACLS, cardiac drips (Cardizem/amiodarone), heparin drips, Lasix, telemetry, medical-surgical patient care including chest tubes, blood administration, ABG interpretation, central line management, and post-procedural care.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Medical/IMC progressive care nursing skills are preferred for working in both 1000 Medical Cardiopulmonary and IMC Pulm Acute.

Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
Must take full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well.
Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
If previously employed by Sanford Health, the employment must have ended at least 6 months before this assignment.

Unit Details:
The medical cardiopulmonary unit cares for patients with pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure, and pulmonary embolism, including complex cases.
Care includes oxygen therapy/pulmonary medicine, intravenous medications and drips, moderate sedation monitoring during bronchoscopies, chest tubes, tracheostomies, postoperative care, non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, and cardiac monitoring.
Uses Alaris pumps for IV fluids and Omnicell for medications.
Travelers with IMC skill sets work in both 1000 Medical Cardiopulmonary and IMC Pulm Acute; travelers without IMC skill sets work only in 1000 Medical Cardiopulmonary.
Patient ratios are 1:2-3 in Pulmonary Acute for IMC RNs, 1:4-5 on day shifts, and 1:5-6 on night shifts.
The unit's specialty service is Pulmonary Medicine, with collaboration with pulmonary intensivists, internal medicine providers, and the hospitalist team.

Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend and every other holiday.

Floating Requirements:
Floating is to Med-Surg units; travelers are the first to be reassigned to another department.
