Unit Details: Adolescent, adult, and pediatric patient population. Patient population includes active GI bleeding, Barrett’s esophagus, biliary tract disease, esophageal stricture, esophageal varices, foreign body ingestion, GERD, hepatic disease, malignant, metastatic, and benign neoplasms, pancreatic disease, peptic ulcer disease, pre- and post-organ transplant, post-surgical complications, and colorectal cancer screening. Procedures include EGD, colonoscopy, enteroscopy, single and double balloon enteroscopy, sigmoidoscopy, pouchoscopy, upper and lower endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic bariatric procedures, specimen collection (brushing/washing/aspirate/cytology/tissue biopsy), endoscopic cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) with and without SpyGlass technology, biliary sphincterotomy and CBD stone removal, endoscopic capsule placement for pH monitoring, Argon plasma coagulation, radiofrequency ablation of Barrett’s esophagus, control of GI hemorrhage, anastomotic dilatation, esophageal dilatation, pneumatic dilatation for achalasia, esophageal variceal treatment (banding or sclerosing), foreign body removal, liver biopsy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy feeding tube placement, feeding tube replacement and removal, polypectomy, pseudocyst drainage, endoscopic mucosal resection, endoscopic submucosal dissection, stent placement (biliary, duodenal, esophageal, pancreatic, colonic), fecal microbial transplant, pancreatic function test, EUS-directed transgastric ERCP, pancreatic necrosectomy, per oral endoscopic myotomy, endoscopic suturing, esophageal impedance planimetry, and esophageal and anorectal manometry. Day shift staffing ratio: 1:3.
Shift & Scheduling: 3 weekend shifts per contract.
