Required Skills/Experience:
Able to take pediatric patients (average 5 to 15 children per day).
Able to take high-acuity patients.
Large hospital (250+) experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Critical care experience preferred.
Unit Details:
Cares for adult and pediatric patients from all surgical specialties, including patients from ICU, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and IR after procedures.
Uses AcuDose medication dispensing, Philips monitors, ventilators, and BiPAP.
Shift & Scheduling:
The majority of hours are 0700-2300, with occasional night shifts and a varied weekend rotation.
Shift may be 8s or 12s.
Backup call is in rotation with staff, possibly 2 weeknights/month and up to every 4th weekend.
Floating Requirements:
Could float between campuses for Phase I PACU.
