Required Skills/Experience: Experience with the care of trauma patients may be accepted in lieu of TNCC.

Required Credentials: TCAR may be accepted in lieu of TNCC.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on the resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO must be requested upfront and is limited to 7 days per 13-week contract. Additional RTO will not be approved after submission.

Unit Details: Cares for DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac rate/rhythm control, and medical detox patients, including patients with arterial lines and CVP. RNs are required to titrate drips typical to an ICU. ER charge nurse covers the ICU. No nurse aides or patient care techs on the unit. Cares for patients requiring respiratory support from nasal cannula to ventilator. RNs read and interpret their own telemetry strips.

Shift & Scheduling: Schedule is set by the director. Weekends and holidays as needed.

Floating Requirements: First to float to MS or ER for 1:1 needs.
