Travel Nurse (RN) - Step Down Unit

Required Skills/Experience:
Must have experience with arterial lines, ventriculostomies, subdural drains, and lumbar drains.
Recent experience at a level 1 trauma center is required.

Special Requests:
You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you applied for day shift, you can apply for night shift on the same unit & facility, but you cannot apply for day shift at the same unit & facility.

Unit Details:
Patient populations and cases include neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, brain and spine tumor resections, spinal surgery, head and neck cancer, and normal pressure hydrocephalus trials with lumbar drains.
Unit care includes hemodynamic monitoring and invasive blood pressure monitoring through arterial lines.
The unit cares for BiPAP/CPAP and tracheostomy/CPAP patients on ventilators (NSCU/ISCU).
Unit care includes low-dose pressors, vasoactive medications, and inotropes.
Mannitol and 3% are used in the NSCU.
The unit cares for tracheostomy patients and complex wounds.
Unit care includes lines, tubes, and drains for postsurgical patients, as well as ventriculostomies, subdural drains, and lumbar drains (NSCU).

Shift & Scheduling:
The schedule rotates between day shifts (07:00-19:00) and night shifts (19:00-07:00).
Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
On-call is required.
