Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2 years of L&D charge or L&D nurse manager experience required.

Required Credentials:

  • Must pass a proctored dysrhythmia/EKG exam onsite on day one during onboarding.

Special Requests:

  • Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
  • Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details:

  • Ratios: 1 to 4 to 1 to 1. Follow CA ratios.
  • Uses Fetal Link for surveillance and Phillips for FHM system.
  • Low- and high-risk deliveries.
  • Babies with known congenital defects requiring immediate surgery are transferred out.
  • Level III NICU.
  • Laborist/OB physician in house 24/7.
  • Circulating is not required; staff are available to do this.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Every other weekend; 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule (Sat/Sun days; Fri/Sat nights).
  • Holidays worked with the permanent staff holiday rotation.

Floating Requirements:

  • First to float.
  • May float to Peds to take the same patients they would take on PP (couplets).
  • May float to NICU to take feeders and growers only if they have prior experience.
