Required Skills/Experience:
Post-partum and level 2 nursery experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
2 or more years of experience preferred.
Special Requests:
Requested time off must be disclosed before the contract is established.
Unit Details:
Patient population includes antepartum, high-risk labor and delivery, and level 2 nursery.
Patient ratios are 1:1 in labor and 1:3 postpartum.
Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines based on patient acuity.
The unit practices Baby-Friendly care.
The RN works antepartum and postpartum.
The RN does not scrub or circulate on C-sections.
The role includes caring for clean gynecologic surgical patients.
Pyxis and OSF e-pharmacy are available 24/7.
Floating Requirements:
During COVID surges, the RN may float to provide helping hands in other departments, including med-surg and the emergency department, on rotation with permanent staff.
