Required Skills/Experience:
2 years of clinical experience in any clinical setting or 1-year of acute care experience.
Special Requests:
If you are working Per Diem at a Kindred facility you need to wait 6 months after your last shift to apply as a traveler. If you are a Full Time Employee with a Kindred facility you need to wait 12 months to apply as a traveler.
Unit Details:
Patient population includes adults age 18+ years recovering from strokes, brain or spinal-cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions.
Brain injury care includes monitored rooms, specialized beds, patient lifts, and dedicated therapy space and dining areas; stroke care uses specialized equipment.
Approximate patient ratios are 1:6/7 on day shift and 1:8 on night shift.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend required.
Floating Requirements:
Floats within the hospital among five units: Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, and Spinal Cord Injury.
