Travel Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

Additional Details:

Saint Luke’s is a nicotine-free health system, including patches, gum, vape, etc. All travelers will be tested upon hire. If found with nicotine in your system, you will be canceled and may be ineligible for re-hire.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 1 to 2 years experience required.
• Work settings: MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown.
• Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring.
• Cardiovascular: Pre/Post Cardiac Cath.
• Sepsis, wound care, ETOH, SI, Renal Failure, AFIB, GIB, Stroke, COVID.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Cardiovascular: Sheath Removal.
• Gastrointestinal: Feeding tube care and management.
• IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management.
• Previous Charge Experience: Preferred.

Required Credentials:

• You must have a MO license and be in the process of applying for a KS license (+vice-versa) or you must have a compact licensure to apply.

Special Requests:

• If requesting 7 days of RTO, the expectation is that the missed time is made up.

Unit Details:

• Adult and geriatric patient population.
• Charge RN assignments as needed per unit.
• Uses Virtual Nurses, 12 lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Holiday shifts as needed per unit.
• 8 weekend shifts in Saint Luke’s 6-week schedule period, combination of F/S/S.
• No call required.

Floating Requirements:

• Float pool position; will not be assigned a home unit. Will float between roughly 5 units, all Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU departments, and to other Metro campuses as needed.
