An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Associate degree or certificate required.
Unit Details:
The MAP unit serves medical and pediatric patients; travelers do not take pediatric patients.
Adult patients may have respiratory illnesses, stroke, other neurological conditions (including seizure disorders, multiple sclerosis, and chronic back pain), gastrointestinal illness, diabetes requiring management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care needs, clotting disorders, other infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal.
Patient ratios are 1:4-5 on days and 1:6-7 on nights.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend and every other holiday.
No call.
The contract is eligible for 36 hours of low-census hours per contract. Low census may occur in hour increments as needed; the unit typically low-censuses in 4-hour increments and may ask a traveler to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift.
Contract hours may not be available during orientation week or when the unit is closed for holidays.
Floating Requirements:
Floats to all inpatient units as needed.
