Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Required Skills/Experience:

• First-time travelers are accepted with cardiothoracic ICU experience and/or critical care experience.
• Must have experience and be proficient with Swan-Ganz monitoring.
• Previous Charge Experience: Required

Special Requests:

• You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
• RTO greater than 7 days requires approval.
• Parking costs $125/month.
• Schedule requests can be made but are not guaranteed; approval depends on equal skill mix and staffing for each shift.
• Days off agreed upon within the contract are honored.

Unit Details:

• Adult patient population.
• ECMO cannulation and bronchoscopy.
• This is a high-acuity cardiac ICU requiring knowledgeable, experienced RNs.
• Patient population includes patients status post CABG, valve repairs/replacements, aneurysm repairs, heart/kidney transplants, and VAD implantation.
• Ratios are typically 1:1 or 1:2, but in extreme situations can reach 1:3 when patients are awaiting transfer to step-down or the floor.

Shift & Scheduling:

• No call.
• Every other weekend is required: the AM shift covers Saturday and Sunday, and the PM shift covers Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night.
• The schedule is set by assistant managers on a 6-week basis.
• Shift switches are allowed with equal skill mix.

Floating Requirements:

• Will float within scope to meet facility needs, including to other HVC ICUs.
• Float scope includes ICU and PCU.

Details:

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
