Required Skills/Experience: General OR and trauma experience required. Required bariatric case experience: laparoscopic assisted cases. Required general surgery case experience: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, laparoscopic assisted procedures, mastectomy, thyroidectomy partial/total, and Whipple. Required neurology case skills/experience: cervical fusion, craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy, and lumbar fusion. Required orthopedic case skills/experience: arthroscopy, carpal tunnel release, closed reduction of fractures, and open reduction of fractures. Required plastic surgery case skills/experience: free flap - microvascular. Required transplant skills/experience: organ donation. Required urology case skills/experience: cystoscopy, nephrectomy, and prostatectomy. Required trauma case skills/experience: amputations, gunshot/stab wounds, and MVA (multiple injuries). Required emergency management skills/experience: code response, fire safety, latex allergy, and malignant hyperthermia. Required equipment/instrumentation/supplies experience: electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, and Hana tables. Required professional knowledge and skills: administration of blood products, infection control, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time out) procedure, and urinary bladder catheterization.

Unit Details: Will work with all service lines except CV.

Special Requests: All requested time off must be reviewed and approved by manager.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement: 1 per month. On-call required: 1 per week, though it is not usually that often anymore.

Floating Requirements: Floating within skill set; rarely happens.
