Required Skills/Experience:
Level 1 or 2 trauma experience required.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance across all CVOR specialties, including CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, robotic thoracic cases (lobectomy and hernia repair), generator exchanges, lead extractions, cardiac organ procurement/harvesting, and fem-pop bypass.

Required Credentials:
Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing.

Special Requests:
You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit & facility.
Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler.
Time-off requests require manager approval.

Unit Details:
Cardiac and thoracic surgeries include CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, robotic thoracic cases (lobectomy and hernia repair), generator exchanges, lead extractions, fem-pop bypass, open vascular cases, AAA, carotid cases, and conversions.
The RN role is circulate-only; no scrubbing.
The unit uses Baxter IV pumps and Omnicell for medication dispensing.

Shift & Scheduling:
Shift length may be 8 or 10 hours; to be determined during the interview.
Weekend rotation is on call only.
On-call: Yes—one overnight per week 7p-7a and every 3rd weekend. Ideally, 1-2 days/week (1500-0700) and 1 weekend every 3rd Fri (1500-0700 Monday). This is subject to change as needs of the department change.
The sleep room will be in the Pre-Op/PACU area as it will be closed; couches are in the break room.
Response time is 15 min.
Potential to work every holiday.

Floating Requirements:
RN could float to Main OR.
