References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac monitoring and emergency response: interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams. IV therapy/phlebotomy: peripheral line care/management. Respiratory: nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank, non-invasive airway management. Isolation precautions.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population with all medical diagnoses, with a focus on pulmonary patients. Intermediate Care unit is a critical care step-down unit that receives patients from the Emergency Department, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and medical-surgical floors. Continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring. Cares for patients needing airway management, acute BIPAP support, arterial lines, central lines, and titrated medicated IV infusions. Typical staffing ratios: 1:3 days, 1:4 nights, 1:3 weekends. Must be able to take a 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for MedSurg.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.
Floating Requirements: Float to ICU or MS.
