Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation experience.
Unit Details:
- Level 3 trauma center.
- Team nursing and pod system; social worker assigned to the department and unit educator.
- Patient ratios: 4:1 in main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track.
- Uses Zoll defibrillator, Level One blood transfuser, QinFlow blood warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle, i-STAT POC, and ultrasound-guided IV.
- Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric patients.
- Common diagnoses/treatments include ESRD, substance use disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Mids shift includes a combination of 10am-10pm, 12pm-12am, and 3pm-3am.
- Minimum of two weekends per schedule.
- No call.
