Additional Information
Required Skills/Experience:
Post-surgical experience (not OR) in post-recovery urology, orthopedic, general, and medical overflow is required.
Must be willing to learn and take on charge duties.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Peri-dialysis experience preferred.
Special Requests:
Block scheduling may be accommodated where possible but is never guaranteed.
Up to 5 days of requested time off in each 13 weeks can be automatically approved; anything more is subject to approval by the leader prior to confirming the candidate, and the time would be made up at the end of the assignment.
Assignment length may be extended up to 26 weeks upon request.
Unit Details:
The unit cares for post-surgical Med-Surg patients.
Common equipment includes IV pumps.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend.
No call.
Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week at the candidate's request.
Candidates should be expected to work at least one major summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day) or winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day).
Floating Requirements:
Floating to Med Surg and Progressive units is customary.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
