Additional Information
Candidates who have 2+ years of experience, 3 days or less RTO and who can start on date posted in the position can be auto-offered.
Required Skills/Experience:
At least 2 years of recent ER experience is required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience in a facility with 400+ beds is strongly preferred.
Required Credentials:
All HCPs will be required to take and pass an EKG/Dysrhythmia competency verification.
Special Requests:
RTO must be provided at submission.
Cannot have worked permanent or per diem for NMHS within the last 12 months.
The contracted position at NMMC must be maintained as the primary commitment above any other type of work.
Unit Details:
Patient ratio is 1:4, increasing to 1:6 if ER holds are waiting for inpatient beds.
Patient care modalities include trauma, cardiac, stroke, COPD, asthma, RSV, abdominal pain, and OR A.
Patients are age 21 and older.
Clinical work includes critical care drips with titration, starting IVs, ventilator management, IV pump operation, arterial line management, central line management, lab draws, blood culture collections, intubations, and EKG interpretation.
Uses SCM.
Uses new Zoll defibrillators.
Shift & Scheduling:
Schedule follows a 3/2 rotation.
Complete availability and flexibility with scheduling is required; it is not negotiable.
Scheduling is based on unit need.
No self-scheduling.
No call.
Must be able to work 12/24 or 12/25, and 12/31 or 1/1.
Floating Requirements:
All travelers are required to float to units within their competencies.
