Required Skills/Experience:
Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.
Strong endovascular experience is required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Neurosurgery, surgical oncology, and robotics experience preferred.
Unit Details:
Cardiac and vascular procedures include all 3s and 4s.
Two on-call rooms are available to staff when on call.
Shift & Scheduling:
Call required: 48-60 hours every 4-week period, including weekend call.
Staff may choose to sign up for call on a day off or on a scheduled workday; call rarely lasts the entire 12-hour shift. If coverage requires continued call after a staff call-out, staff may be offered an early release to rest and leave early in the morning.
Available start dates: Every Monday.
Floating Requirements:
Expected to float to General OR if needed.
May be asked to float between the Saint Josephs, University, and Midtown campuses, typically with 1 day of notice due to scheduled cases; on-call remains only at the booked location.
