Required Skills/Experience:
Craniotomies and EVDs are required.
Experience with ICP or ventriculostomy is required.
Basic arrhythmia experience is required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Neurosurgery experience preferred.
Epic experience within the past 12 months is preferred.
Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Special Requests:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Unit Details:
Adult and geriatric patient population.
The assignment includes working with ICU and IMC patient populations.
The critical care unit specializes in caring for critically ill adults with neuro diagnoses including ischemic stroke (including post-thrombectomy and post-lysis), subarachnoid and cerebral hemorrhage, status epilepticus, postoperative neurosurgical cases including brain tumor resection and aneurysm clipping and coiling, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury.
Specialized interventions and procedures include hemodynamic monitoring and hypothermia.
Equipment includes EVDs, lumbar drains, and a CereLink monitor.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend rotation and some holidays.
A 4x12 schedule will be accepted.
