Travel Nurse (RN) - Oncology Clinic

Required Skills/Experience:
Clinic experience required.

Required Credentials:
Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing.

Special Requests:
You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility.
Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler.
May approve up to 7 days off (excluding holidays), as long as the traveler is willing to extend the contract to accommodate.

Unit Details:
Outpatient clinic.
Adult patients ages 18+ with medical oncology/hematology, hematology, and pre-/post-transplant BMT needs.
Approximately 15-25 patients seen per day with CA support.
Uses Epic Ambulatory.
Chaperoning for providers during clinic exams and procedures.
Rooming patients; vital signs, review of systems, medication reconciliation, and weight.
Obtaining orders and processing patients for infusions/communication if cleared.
Chart checks.
Set up for procedures.
Review of referrals.
Chemo nurses handle port access and blood draws.
On-site lab.

Shift & Scheduling:
No weekends.
No call.
No major holidays; will be scheduled to work minor holidays when the clinic is open.
Day off is based on clinic needs each week.

Floating Requirements:
Will routinely work with different physicians within Medical Oncology and may be pulled to another clinic outside of Medical Oncology, but this is unlikely.
