Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2 years Med Surg experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Able to cover the ER as charge nurse preferred.

Special Requests:

  • Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
  • Must take a full 6 months off from any Sanford Health, Good Samaritan Society, or Marshfield Clinic Health System location prior to submission.
  • Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.

Unit Details:

  • Cares for Med/Surg, outpatient, and emergency department patients.
  • Performs typical RN procedures including IV starts and Foley catheterization.
  • Uses Philips central monitor/telemetry and Lifepak 15; no medication system is available.
  • Minimum staffing is 2 RNs, typically with a PCT or LPN as a third team member.
  • Ratios vary by census and if working charge; average 1:2 or 1:3, up to 1:6.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Every other weekend.
  • Orientation can be tailored up to 1 week; expect at least 1 day shift and 1 night shift during orientation.

Floating Requirements:

  • RNs float each day between Med/Surg, outpatient, and emergency department; all nurses working the floor are expected to be able to work in the ER.
