Required Skills/Experience:
Labor & Delivery, postpartum, circulating, and newborn care skill sets are required.
Required Credentials:
Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification must be renewed every 2 years for L&D.
Unit Details:
The unit encompasses labor and delivery, postpartum, newborn nursery, operating rooms, recovery rooms, and antepartum rooms.
Patient ratios: L&D 1:2-3 for evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium drip, or epidural; postpartum 1:3-4.
Average daily census is 15-25 mothers, babies, and labors.
Shift & Scheduling:
Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
Primarily a day position with rotation to evenings and nights as needed; straight days are not available.
Shift times rotate between 7:00am to 7:30pm, 11:00am to 11:30pm, and 7:00pm to 7:30am, with every other weekend coverage.
Includes 1 night of call.
