Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Scrub experience required.
- Surgery cases: General, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Plastics, and ENT required.
- Neuro experience required; adult experience OK.
- Pediatric experience required.
- General OR experience accepted.
Required Credentials:
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests:
- Local travelers accepted; Indiana residents are considered local.
- IU Health generally does not allow Indiana RNs to work at its facilities; periop/OR RN travelers are exempt. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, and SDS.
Unit Details:
- Free-standing pediatric facility.
- Level I pediatric trauma center staffed 24/7 for emergent cases.
- Neonate, infant, pediatric/adolescent, and some adult patient population.
- Specialties include ENT, Urology, Plastics, General Surgery, Orthopedic, Trauma, and Neurosurgery.
- Surgical procedures range from minor to very complex, including ECMO, burn procedures, tumor resections, and trauma procedures.
- Uses Stealth, DaVinci, and ROSA.
Shift & Scheduling:
- 4x10s, 7:00-17:30; option for 5x8's 7:00-15:30.
- On-call: 4 call shifts per 6 weeks.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
