Required Skills/Experience:
3+ years current MICU experience required.
Current ventilator experience required.
Required Credentials:
Certifications are required to be included at time of submission.
Special Requests:
All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. The facility will not approve scheduling requests made after submission, at or after the time of offer, or during the interview; requests made after an offer may lead to a rescinded offer.
The traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment.
Unit Details:
A specialized MICU subunit focused on internal medicine and non-surgical diseases.
Patients include severe infections (sepsis), acute respiratory failure, diabetic emergencies, poisonings, and severe organ dysfunction.
Care focuses on complex internal illnesses managed with ventilators, continuous drug infusions such as vasopressors, and aggressive medical therapy rather than surgery.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend.
Travelers may not take all holidays off and must work two blocks, if scheduled/needed: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and weekend after; Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and weekend after; New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and weekend after.
No call.
No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted (less is better).
