Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 3 years Cardiac Medical ICU, inpatient only.
  • 3 year Cardiac and/or Medical ICU, CVI experience of recovering open hearts directly from the OR.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with medical ICU patients, cardiac emphasis (arrhythmias, STEMI, post arrest).

Required Credentials:

  • American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (Multi State Cert) (ABCP)

Special Requests:

  • Blocked scheduling (no specific days) may be approved based on facility requirements.
  • RTO of 5 days or less must be made up on the back end.
  • Holiday RTO: can request only 1 per assignment.

Unit Details:

  • Equipment includes Impella, IABP, Prismax CRRT, Zoll internal cooling device, Arctic Sun.
  • Patient population includes sepsis, respiratory (pneumonia, COVID, ARDS, etc.), post cardiac arrest, GI bleed, DKA, PE, renal failure, liver failure, pancreatitis, overdose, suicidal ideations, and CIWA.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
  • Every other weekend, as required by facility.
  • No call.
  • Night shift orients on day shift. Traveler must be available the entire week for orientation.

Floating Requirements:

  • May be floated to other stepdown units depending on staffing needs.

Details:

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
