Required Skills/Experience: Experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred.
Unit Details: The IMCU cares for individuals experiencing severe but usually non-life-threatening issues requiring moderately complex assessments, moderately intensive therapies and interventions, and moderate levels of nursing vigilance. Patient population includes adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with general medical conditions, including post-ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory conditions.
Shift & Scheduling: No call. Schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends and holidays. May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during each 4-week schedule period. Travelers must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays. Eve + Day = 1 holiday.
Floating Requirements: May be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level.
