Required Skills/Experience:
2 years of chemotherapy administration experience required.
Experience accessing and deaccessing IVADs, working with PICC lines, starting peripheral IVs, and using Alaris infusion pumps.
Special Requests:
RTO not requested at the time of submission will not be approved.
Must be separated from BILH for 6+ months and be in good standing to be considered.
Unit Details:
Adult patients with hematologic, oncologic, or medical diagnoses requiring outpatient infusion services.
Ambulatory outpatient infusion center attached to the Hem/Onc clinic; advanced practice provider coverage is provided by the clinic.
Typical duties and procedures include chemotherapy administration, medical infusion administration, blood transfusions, phlebotomy, starting peripheral IVs, accessing/deaccessing IVADs, and use of Alaris and CADD pumps for home infusion therapy.
Sees 60-110 patients per day; each nurse is typically assigned 2-3 infusion chairs per shift.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every 3rd Saturday required.
72 hours biweekly; on-call hours do not count toward contract hours.
Floating Requirements:
May float to Peabody; floating is assigned by date of last float and is rare, based on staffing needs.
