Travel Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Required Skills/Experience: Circulating experience required.

Special Requests: Time off should be limited; excessive time off cannot be approved.

Unit Details: Inpatient and outpatient OR setting. Adult patients only; no pediatrics. Children's Hospital OR is separate. Case mix may include neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid room cases (cysto, bronch, and lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary.

Shift & Scheduling: Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday; assigned weekdays vary based on unit needs. Late stay required. Expected to work 2 of 3 holidays. Travelers will take four late stays in a 13-week contract. If rooms are still running at 5PM or 7PM, the late stay person stays until a night shift team takes over or the rooms come down. Late stays rarely extend more than an hour past the scheduled end time, but this increases during summer and December.

Floating Requirements: Could float within the OR, but not between locations.
